Posted on 27 October 2012 ♥ Was craving for some fried oreo yesterday but was too lazy to go to the pasar malam at Fajar alone so I decided to search for some online recipes and do my own at home since I got some Strawberry Oreo at home.Sorry for poor quality pictures because it's all from my phone's camera! ![]() Ingredients needed: - Oreo Cookies (I used the Strawberry flavored ones) - 1 cup Pancake Mix - 1 Egg - 1 tablespoon cooking/vegetable oil - 3/4 cup of water (Can replace with milk) ![]() Steps: 1. Measure 1 cup of flour, place into a mixing bowl. 2. Add in a egg, 3/4 cup of water and 1 table spoon of cooking/vegetable oil. 3. Stir the batter until all ingredients are well mixed and the consistency is smooth. 4. Dip the oreo into the pancake batter and watch them swim while you goes to step 5! 5. Heat enough oil into a pot/pan for frying. 6. Place oreo into the hot oil to fry them (Oil must be hot before placing oreo in). It won't take more than 2 minutes to fry them, save them from the hot oil once they are golden brown! 7. Place them on a kitchen towel to absorb the extra oil and it's ready to serve! ^_^ End Product: ![]() I know it looks ugly but it's my first try and unexpectedly, it tasted good! Best to savour as soon as it's out of the oil because hot fried oreo is the best and cold fried oreo sucks! Was so full after finishing the 8 fried oreos! I've alot of the batter left so I think half of the ingredients would be enough to fry 8-10 oreos but I kept the rest of the batter in the refrigerator which I could use it to fry them the next day! Could replace oreo with Mars or Kitkat too! ^_^ |
