Posted on 31 October 2013 ♥ Went to JB for half a day with Cherlyn on Tuesday to have a little getaway from SG! ^-^Took pictures before leaving house because I'm really in love w my hair color which is after 6 washes! Looks really ashy without flash, wo xi huan! :D Met up w Cherlyn at almost 12pm due to some last minute changes and took bus 950 to the custom from Woodlands Interchange! It was a pretty good start for the day because we reached Malaysia really quick since we didn't had to wait for long for both the bus or at the custom area so we reached Malaysia at 12.34pm! Crazily fast with only 30minutes in traveling from Woodlands to City Square, Malaysia! Went to change my money before we went to explore since I haven't been there after the major renovation and it's totally a mini food paradise there with lots of food choices! We finally decided to settle at Dontaku Japanese Restaurant (level 3) for lunch at 1plus! Ambience was great with all the furnishings and color choice! Ordered a Honey Ocha Lemon (RM4, SGD$1.60) to share which is a little bland for us! We also ordered a few sides to share as we wasn't craving for any mains! Heheh, saving tummy space to eat more varieties of food is our style! >_<
Salmon Aburi Roll, RM14 (SGD$5.60)
I was totally shocked because I was expecting it to be around SGD$8 as usually it will be around $14 onward in Singapore! I was like 'OMG, RM14 ONLY LEH' to Cherlyn! HAHAHA, cheapo mode on. Sorry, I'm such a embarrassment! :X Size were just nice and it is really light and fresh with the cucumber so we could eat alot and don't feel sick! I think it's quite good for its price, 7/10! ^-^
Volcanoes Roll, RM14 (SGD$5.60)
I didn't know what it was but the picture on the menu which was similar to what we got attracted me so I assumed it will be very cheesy but I wasn't sure what is the ingredients inside! We just ordered it since the price was affordable! It was really cheesy with quite abit of cheese and mayo, my favourite! WOOHOO! The filling was only cucumber which was a little disappointing as I really hoped it was salmon but it was good to have something crunchy and refreshing among the cheese and sushi rice! The crispy thing which I don't know what it is, goes well altogether because I'm someone who will put the whole piece of volcanoes roll in my mouth! Hehehe! *munch munch*
Salmon Nigiri, RM8 (SGD$3.20)
Not exactly cheap for this as I could have the above at Nihon Mura for $3 and it's slightly smaller compared to usual Salmon Nigiri but for taste wise, it's pretty good! Salmon sashimi was fresh and ratio of it to the sushi rice was just right! Total bill including the taxes and all was RM46.40 (Approx. SGD $18.60). Service were good as the staffs were really attentive and they had free-flow of salad which you can help yourself. It wasn't crowded so it was a good lunch without too much noises! Went to look for a dessert place as I was craving for some waffle w ice cream and we found Pearl Waffle with a sign that the staff is out for lunch! We had gone once before lunch and even when we went back after our lunch, it was still closed so we went to find elsewhere to have dessert! The place we went was Baskin Robbins! They didn't have soft waffle so we got a cup of 2 flavors and waffle biscuit at RM14.85 (SGD$5.94) It was a little sweet with the chocolate sauce but the strawberry ice cream which I chose was good! Really very berry with small bits in it but I really would prefer soft kind of waffle because eating the waffle biscuit was really langbei! It keeps breaking into small bits and drop on the table but we did clean up after we eat! Hehehe, GOOD HABIT from the 2C! Went to the arcade for our favourite basketball game and our highest was still 328! U_U Can't wait to go back already because it's so crazily cheap, RM1 (SGD $0.40) per game. Shuang dao si!!! Spent quite some time in the arcade that Cyn-choding don't want to leave but we had to!! HAHAHA! Popular after that to walk walk see see and ended up in Hui Lau Shan (許留山) which was in level 3 for more desserts! Totally a foodie day! 許留山 was really raved greatly online so I was really excited as mango is one of my favourite fruits after all the berries! We were lucky to be there when it wasn't crowded as I would hate to queue! :x We ordered quite a few mango desserts to try as we was too full for a main dish! We ordered the above which is one of the signature item, Mango Chewy ball! The mango wasn't sweet and was quite on the sour side, maybe just ours that was really sour so it wasn't enjoyable for me as I would prefer my dessert to be a little sweet! Slightly overrated in my opinion! Mango cubes were alright, not too sour and has a small tinge of sweetness, just the mango 'sauce' or 'soup' or whatever you call it is a little too sour. The mango ice cream taste a little like sorbet instead of ice cream as it is not really creamy! Price were alright since it was RM13.90 (SGD $5.56) and comes with a small side of your choice and we picked the Mango Mochi shown below as Cherlyn is a mochi-fan! I think the outer 'mochi' skin tasted more like ondeh-ondeh with a big piece of mango in it so other than a little juice from the mango slice in it, it was a little dry! Thus, I had a bite and then, a spoonful of the mango dessert above and it goes surprisingly well! :D #FoodAdventurer We also ordered a set (Mango Carnival as printed on receipt, Hahah so cute) whereby you can choose 3 different mango desserts at RM12.90 (SGD $5.16). Very good if you wanna give each different kind a try! We got the Mini Mango Crisp, Mango Pancake and Mango Pudding! The presentation is really pretty and not too much of yellow from the mango as they add in some chocolate sauce! The Mango Crispy tasted like vanilla ice cream cubes w super small bits of mango and crisp, quite shiok! Mango pancake was not bad as the whipped cream and mango slices in it is proportional so it's quite good! Mango pudding were not bad as well, Cherlyn's #1 out of all! I personally think it's overall okay as we spent around RM32 (SGD$12.80) including a bottle of mineral water and all the other charges. Really affordable since the presentation were all really pretty and service were quite good as well! :) Food wise, it's quite okay! Worth a try but don't expect too much because it doesn't makes you go 'OMG OMG SO YUMMY!' Walked around and ended up at the arcade again for their neoprint! OMG, super long since I last went to take neoprint! I think it's been 2 years or longer! It was RM12 (SGD$4.80)! Super cheap because SG is already charging at $13 already!! ![]() Took some pictures in the machine because they had crazy good lighting! Wo xi huan! ^^ Was so fascinated with the new kind of neoprint machine because they can add makeup, contact lens etc! Too long since I last used a neoprint machine so I'm easily amazed by their decorations and all! Took a cab to Taman Sri Tebrau Hawker Centre aftermath but the uncle drove us to 2 different places where we couldn't find stingray at all! -____- Took a 2nd cab and reached our destination around 6 after a little jam for our early dinner! Couldn't remember the exact stall whereby I went a year+ ago w Shirley so we just went to a random seafood stall after their super hardcore selling! STRESSED! Also did super fast ordering after being pressured by the stall owner, hais! Food was served fast as there weren't much people but I would really prefer that we could have some time to look through the menu! Anyway, here's what we ordered! ![]()
Cereal Prawns, RM30 (SGD$12) & Ginger (姜葱) Chicken, RM10 (SGD $4)
Price for the prawn is by weight and it's 6 big prawns for RM30 which comes up to about $2 each. Taste wise, quite average because I've tried better cereal prawns but it's still considered affordable! Serving of Kung Bao Chicken is quite generous and the meat is really tender and sauce wise, is really flavourful so it was a not bad dish for only $4! ![]()
Sambal Stingray, RM20 (SGD $8)
This stall goes also by weight and the above cost $8 which I finds it really affordable as the meat is thick and fresh plus it is much bigger in portion, around the medium-large stingray in SG! Not as spicy as the usual 'Sambal Stingray' but it was good enough for me since I couldn't take spiciness well! Hehe, totally enjoyed it because it comes with my favourite Chinchalok! :D Cabbed back to City Square Mall and Cherlyn accompanied me to take away some food to bring home! ![]() JCO for sure because 1/2 dozen was only RM15.20 (SGD $6.08) after their taxes! Around $1 each and I got my favourite flavours! YAY! ![]() Also got a Durian Mousse cake and a box of Durian Crepe from the stall next to 許留山! Mom said the mousse cake was very mediocre, totally not worth for RM8.50 (SGD $3.40). I think the Durian Crepe was pretty decent at 6 pcs for RM15 (SGD $6) but I didn't take a picture of it! >_< Got some breads from the bakery called Lavender if I'm not wrong and their breads are really good, at around SGD $1 each! Can't wait to go back and get more, they have very yummy tuna bread which unfortunately, I don't have the pictures too! Bus-ed back to Woodlands after all my food shopping and was lucky we didn't had to wait for the bus for too long and even got seats on the bus! YAY! :D It was a great day with good food, yummy desserts, arcade fun and awesome companion! :D Posted on 27 October 2013 ♥ Finally made some effort to go down to Real Salon (Blk 515 Bedok North Avenue 2, #01-207) to fix my hair after the previous visit which was 2 months plus ago! :O Horrendous black roots plus annoying fringe length equals an hour+ journey to the East on a Wednesday morning! Wanted to meet Peh for lunch but she overslept so I went to the salon 2 hours prior to my appointment which was supposed to be 2pm and because there were customers there, I sat and wait while eating my mashed potato and 2 servings of mac & cheese from Astons! HEHEHEHEHE, it was so good especially when I was really hungry at the point of time! ![]() Not the best mashed potato I had but it really filled me up as a light lunch and it was only $2 for a big bowl! ^_^ Started bleaching my roots at 1plus pm as Kelly was working alone but it was alright because I was excited to dye a new color, sick of the faded blonde tone! Sat all the way till about 6plus in the evening and tada, had my roots bleached, had a new base color and trimmed my annoying fringe and dead ends! Waited for Peh at a random void deck as we was meeting for dinner at J's Wok & Grill for about 20 minutes and we went into the restaurant without Priscilla first as that girl was fighting the crowds to train back to Bedok!
J's Wok & Grill
Blk 527 Bedok North Street 3, #01-514
Singapore 460527
We ordered first because we were hungry and I was really excited since it's one of my favourite restaurants which I hadn't been back for a long time due to the long distance from my place! Here's what we had! ![]()
Peh's Hot Chocolate, $3.90!
![]()
My Pepsi Float, $3.90!
Brought back so much secondary school memories where we used to order pepsi float often and after one sip, we make a mess of the table with all the cream flowing out of the cup! HAHAHA! ![]()
My Calamari Fritters, $6.50!
It was a damn right choice I swear! It was so light and crispy, not oily at all! The calamari was easy to chew and with the mayonnaise, OMGGGG it was SO GOOD!!! Serving was really big irl, I was almost half full after finishing them! Totally craving for it now! :S ![]()
Peh's Chicken Cordon Bleu. $13.90!
One of my top favourite in Jwag which should be quickly eaten after it's served because the meat will be tough once it is cold! The coleslaw was really well done too and I ate it all since Peh doesn't eat coleslaw, HEHEHE yay! ![]()
My Cabonara w Turkey Ham, $11.50!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Super happy and excited when it was served because I had been craving for Jwag's Cabonara for very long already! One of the best cabonara I ever tried! Was actually deciding between the Cordon Bleu and cabonara, so glad I ordered cabonara to satisfy my months long craving!! It's really sinful because it's so cheesy and creamy which I ultra love it! *dies* Priscilla came when we was in the mid of our meal as we tried to slow down eating while waiting for her so I psycho her about the cabonara since we both love cabonara and she ordered it! WOOHOO! :D Our total bill was around $56 if I wasn't wrong, really affordable because the food standard is really high! It was a enjoyable dinner with alot jokes and laughter which I almost puke out my dinner from laughing too much when I'm the one who start all the jokes! I'm really the kind of people who can laugh die from my own jokes! XD Can't wait to go back again to eat more of the other food on the menu! ^-^ Traveled to the interchange together and took bus 168 back with Priscilla which i almost died after she alighted because the trip home was really long due to jam! I could feel my ass cracking, lol simi sai but an hour plus ride was a little long for me! :( Another bus trip and lrt trip after reaching Woodlands, fml so I was looking really tired when I reached home around 11plus pm where my mom thought I was sulking because I didn't like my new hair color! Wrong! I absolutely love it, pictures below! n_n

With Flash! ^-^
It has been a while since I had dark color hair because my blonde hair has been sticking with me for around 3 years or so already! I dyed everything else to my current base color except for my pink highlight from 4-5 months ago which was still lasting! :O The base color is a mixture of really dark brown, matt blonde and another shade of ash brown! It looks really black on day 1 but after 4-5 washes, it is currently in a shade of dark ash brown which my mom really love it! She told me she wanna cut off my hair because she was jealous of the color, HAHAHA semolan!! I really like it though and it was a amazing Wednesday with new hair, good food and fun from hanging out with close friends! :) Posted on 24 October 2013 ♥ OMG! HELLO! Finally back to this space after a month plus, and to be exact, 5 weeks of not even logging into blogger! Longest time whereby I've stop blogging and I'm back because I finally have some stuffs to update!I've finished watching all 168 episodes of Running Man and even re-watching certain favourite episodes and also some other shows like 'We Got Married' and '100% Entertainment' which was how I spent a month plus at home, only out to restock FH rack at BlogShopping FEP and Jem! Definition of no life is definitely me until I finally went to hang out with a few close friends recently! :D :D Started my Monday by bringing a big amount of stocks to FEP thus, I took a cab down because 80 pieces of apparels is too heavy to travel via bus! Met Cherlyn after almost 2 months of not seeing each other at FEP after restocking and we went to have our brunch at The Sushi Bar at 2pm to avoid the lunch crowds! Give us a round of applause! ^_^

Was lucky as it wasn't packed so we could get a table without any reservations and it was our first time there! Ordered just a little to share and try because we had the most random plan to eat a little everywhere we go. HAHAHA! ![]() We got the Salmon Aburi Roll which was $14.90 for 8 pcs and was highly raved online so we ordered it! It was not bad because the salmon was fresh and the amount of mentai was quite generous so I'm really pleased with it plus it was quite filling although we had only 4 pcs each! Tasting the mentai, totally makes me miss Momiji, crazy spam of mentai food! xD ![]() We also ordered the Wafu Spaghetti which was $10.90 if I didn't remembered wrongly. We were shocked by the small serving at first but it was surprisingly filling due to the cheesy taste! Very sinful but very good! :D We were like 75% full after finishing the above 2 dishes and a can of coke! Definitely the coke does have some impact of making us full! Total bill was $27.80 as they doesn't charge service or gst charge! WOOHOO! ^_^ Will be back next time to try their Salmon sashimi as raved by Berlin! :D ![]() Went to chill at FEP basement after our brunch with a sausage + mash each from Chippy! It is cheese sausage plus mashed potato! Doesn't look good on picture but the taste is so mama mia ho jiak and it's only $4.50! Chat and catch up with each other for 1.5 hour with our usual jokes and stuffs before Cherlyn had to go off at 4.45pm! Pictures together after a long time! :) Pardon my hair and fringe because I didn't fix them for 2 months already and just done so yesterday! Walked to Takashimaya after Cherlyn left and chill alone with music until Berlin gave me a call to chat with. This girl sure knows when to call <3 And a shot of my new polka dots flats because I was bored! It was a killer giving me blisters for both feet which hurts like mad *bites the flat* ![]() Spent 1.5 hour alone until I met up with Joanne who was late for 15minutes as we were supposed to meet at 6pm. HAHAHA I'm damn calculative because I was getting annoyed after waiting alone for a long time! >_< Had Mos Burger because Jo was craving for it, didn't want to watch her eat so I ordered a croquette and lemon tea! Hehehehe bad habit of cannot don't eat while others are eating. Was craving for waffles with ice cream so we went to The Cathay for Createaf Waffles! Hehehe, one of my favourite waffle shop! ^_^
Createaf Waffles
The Cathay, #01-02, 2 Handy Road
![]() We got a drink to share - Peach Roselle Tea Sangria which is one of my favourite drink there and Joanna who hate peach also like the drink as it doesn't have heavy taste of peach! Very light and refreshing! :D It comes with the waffle set ($12.50 for a waffle w ice cream and a drink of your choice). ![]() We ordered 2 different kind of sweet waffles to share and definitely had to get this Merry Berry which has always been my favourite - the berries lover! I choose Macadamia Nuts ice cream to go with the Merry Berry waffle because it's my favourite choice of ice cream! ^_^ ![]() Also got the Blueberry and Lemon waffle which was $9.90 with a scoop of ice cream so we added another scoop at additional $3! Had the Tiramisu and Rums & Raisin ice cream but my favourite was the macadamia nuts one still while Jo love the tiramisu one! Home after that at 8plus where we were super duber full after having a waffle each! xD Was kinda depressed because I had to wait 22 minutes for my bus home but felt happy after settling my cravings for waffles with ice cream! |
