Dinner at 7pm with Zav at Beauty World Hawker Centre, not alot stalls were opened at that timing so we just get ourselves a plate of Char Kuey Tiao and Sweet & Sour Pork w Rice to share! Really fragrant CKT at $4 for the above, very filling amount I would say! Sweet and Sour Pork Rice which was also $4 and the pork was so crispy and sauce tasted really good! One of the better S&S Pork around! 11 JUNE 2016! Dinner with Zav at Jurong Point because it has been quite a long while since I last went there. It was really crowded at 7plus of a Saturday evening so after walking a few rounds, we decided to have Monster Curry for dinner since we have been wanting to try it! We managed to get a table after ordering and paying for our orders at the front counter. Waited for around 10mins for our drinks to be served. I had the Peach Italian Juice ($3.50) while Zav had the Green Apple Italian Juice ($3.50). Food came 5minutes after our drinks arrived. We got the Monster Combo ($25) to share which consists of boiled pork, Tempura Prawns, Cheese, Fried Dory Fish and Fried Pork Cutlet. Really worth the money especially when you wanna have all the 'liao'! We also added an onsen egg ($1) which comes on the side. Mixed into the curry and rice, and it is mega shiok! SLURP! The portion was huge so we only managed to finish what we could and left behind some rice and salad. Total bill was $38.80 inclusive of the extra charges for the above! Worth the money because we were soooo full after the meal! Went to walk around the mall before we decided to go Bugis for desserts but the stalls were all so crowded at Liang Seah Street. Went to Bugis Junction instead of got each of us a cup of bubble tea to end the night, like we drove all the way to central for the cup of bubble tea! Thankfully it was pretty good! 12 JUNE 2016! Woke up really early despite sleeping at like 6am+ in the morning, decided to bathe and all then head to *SCAPE for our brunch! Have been wanting to try Nouvelle Fusion Kitchen & Bar at *SCAPE (#03-03) since awhile ago so Zav drove us there for our meal, also to satisfy my sushi cravings! Reached at 11.30am but we didn't dare to go in because it was empty although it was opened already and there was nothing on the food belt. Walked around before we went back at 11.50am again and there was still no people but fuck it, we were hungry so we head in and placed our orders! Here's the food we had! We had the Tamago Sushi, Lobster Salad Inari Sushi, our favourite Baby Octopus, Salmon Nigiri, Duck Tartlet, Pidan Tofu and Scallop w cream sauce which was all at $1.50 per plate! All tasted really good but I exceptionally love the pidan tofu, so generous with the pidan sauce! Last picture of the Collage was the Curry Chicken Risotto ($18) which we got to share as a main. the Curry Risotto was pretty well done but I didn't really like the Chicken Cordon Bleu which had this 'fishy' smell to it so overall, I think it's quite meh! Would love to try the Duck Confit next time! Got the King Salmon Belly Aburi Sushi (2pcs - $8), this was our favourite! So tender and juicy Salmon Belly which comes with foie gras on top of each piece and it's only $4 each, so worth it! Could eat at least 8 of this at a go! We also ordered a Lemon Tea ($7) to share, tasted quite nice as well! Total bill was $48.50 including service and GST charges, also 2 wet towels charge at $1 but we got a 10% discount as Zav paid with his UOB card. So we managed to get 10 percent off for our meal except the 7 sushi plates. Meal was good and satisfying! Went to get a cup of bubble tea each before we drove to Bedok as Zav wanted to cut hair! So lucky we didn't have to wait at the salon! Went back to Zav's place and we managed to nap from 3plus to around 5pm then brought Zav's parents to dinner with us at Hougang! Went to 21 Seafood at Blk 212 Hougang Street 21, #01-347, S530212 for our dinner at 6pm! Managed to place our orders after getting a table but waited for 20-30minutes for our food to arrive! Stir Fried Kailan ($8) and Deer Meat ($15) for Zav's Papa because he doesn't take any crabs, and he managed to eat 2 bowls of white rice alone! Chili Crab and Salted Egg Yolk Sauce Crab was $49 altogether because it was 3 medium crabs at $45 and since we want it in different sauce, it was $4 extras! Wanted to just order 2 but the lady said must order 3 in order to fry it in different sauces. The crabs were good but the Chili crab was a little spicy for me, so i preferred the Salted Egg Yolk Sauce Crab. Ordered a portion of Fried Mantous at $3 to go with the crab sauce since the 3 of us didn't ordered any rice! Bill was $81.80 including of 4 drinks. Quite alright since we get to eat crabs, been craving for it for so long already! Went back to Zav's place after dinner! 13 JUNE 2016! Malay Cuisine with Zav for breakfast at 9.30am because I have been hungry since 11pm the night before! Mee Rebus for Zav at $3.50 as he added a fried potato! Mee Soto at $3.50 for me as Zav added a Fried Potato for me as well. Too bad I think the potato was a little spoiled as it was really sourish! Zav drove me to get some dried goods for Mummy at Bedok after our appointment at the clinic. Went to the Geylang Bazaar and since it was just 3pm, not much stalls were opened so we got some drinks for ourselves since the weather was hell! Also got ourselves a burger, a kebab and fish char kuey. All 3 sucks, so it is disappointing. Went back to my place for Zav to take a nap since he has been working overtime during the weekdays. Went to Lot 1 at around 7pm and dabao-ed burgers from Mos Burger for our dinner and a bubble tea each from Black Ball! Damn crazy bubble tea craze that we had recently. Labels: Food |
