Posted on 18 January 2014 ♥ Been planning meet up with my friends as it has really been a while since I met a few of them!Met Elycia on Thursday after topping up FH rack at BlogShopping FEP! Someone whom I know but we don't hang out, not even once. We only meet each other during previous FH events but we click well so we planned our first official outing on Thursday! ^-^ Woke up really early so I had all the time to nua at home before heading out and even reaching way earlier than our meeting time! Some pictures at home before heading out! Wet hair because I'm lazy to blow dry my hair. Loving the faded color which is something like ashy green! Can't wait to rebond it next week, BYE POMPOM hair!   Met up at 12.40pm and took a bus to Kampong Bahru Road for Strangers' Reunion which Elycia says the name totally describes us!! HAHA, so true! Took quite a while to find the location as we might have alighted at the wrong stop because we were so engrossed with chatting! >_< Thanks to Google Map, we found it within 10 minutes of walking! :)

Was greeted by really friendly staffs which makes our mood even better! Settled down and ordered pretty quickly since we've already planned what we want to eat the day before! Hahaha, excited us!  Our drinks were served first! We got 2 different coffee to try; Cappuccino ($4.90) and Magic ($5.50), a pretty popular drink there as I saw alot people trying it on their food reviews of SR. Personally, it's a little bitter for us as we're not a big fan of coffee and we like those sweeter coffee like those from Starbucks but the coffee art were really pretty! Our 'Mains' were served next!  We had the Egg On Toast ($10.50); Poached Eggs with Holladise sauce on ciabatta bread if I'm not wrong! Not very sure about the bread because we asked the staff to choose for us! :D It has quite a bit of herbs taste but the bread goes very well with the poached eggs! Elycia were so eggcited about the eggs because it's her first time trying poached eggs! :D We also got the famous waffle!  We got the waffle w greek yoghurt and fresh fruits, $12.90! As we took a long time taking pictures of all the food before we start eating them, the part of the waffle with yoghurt were are soggy already but those parts without were still very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Definitely still one of the better waffles out there! I think it was taste better with ice cream which we regretfully didn't order but the waffle were still good on its own and better with the fresh fruits! Oh berries, I lubbb you! :D Our table full of yumz!  We spent about 45 minutes after we finished our food, chatting about everything until my ass hurts from sitting too long then I suggested to pay the bill and walk around which Elycia agrees! ^_^ Bill was $37+ in total! Affordable with the quality of food served and the nice staffs who didn't got angry when Elycia accidentally spilled a little of the coffee on the table and instead told us not to worry about it and she will clean up the rest! Guilty but we felt better with nice people! Definitely going back again to try the truffle sweet potato which was in such a big portion that we saw from the other table! Walked around before we randomly decided to go to Haji Lane to explore more food as we only filled our tummies 70% full! Walked for quite a bit because we alighted 2 stops earlier! HAHAHA, exercise a little after food! Decided to stop at Tutti Frutti for some yoghurt and we got all 4 flavours to try; Original, Guava, Vanilla and Chocolate with some toppings at $6.35 after 20% discount! :D  Love the guava flavoured one, major yumz! Our toppings were more than our yoghurt so it looks really messy thus, picture of the cup only! :X Lighting were really good in the shop so we camwhore since there weren't much people! XD  2 years since we last took pictures and I totally love this batch of photos! Chilled for a while before we went to walk around again and found something I have been wanting to try it! Ice Cream Cookie!  Found it at a shop; (working title) at 48 Arab Street! It was $7 each and we got the Butterscotch Bacon and Strawberry Shortcake! We took away and went to a random place with public seats, sat and chill while eating our ice cream!  Both tasted really good but the butterscotch bacon ice cream with brown sugar cookie was really unique and surprisingly good! A little like salted caramel ice cream with bits of bacon! It's real bacon, no joke! It's more of the salty ice cream but it was good on its own and both were really worth the money and we were really full after finishing it! XD Elycia then accompanied to get tiramisu and bubble tea for my friends working at Bugis Street! Was totally on a delivery mode! Delivering food to my friends who are all working at different shops and coincidentally, all their names start with C! Like Claire, Celine, Cindy! HAHAHAHA! Sent Elycia to the MRT station after that! We didn't meet for very long hours but it was very fun to have steady people whereby I suggest to try something and she will be like 'OK!'. Steady, wo xi huan! :D Went back to nua at the shop where Claire is working, chat and made jokes as usual then went to BB to have a small chat with Celine where then Priscilla came to find me like a rocker after her work! HAHA, totally a rocker in black leather jacket and shorts with the kick ass heels! We went to walk around as Priscilla wasn't hungry for about an hour before I was really hungry after not having any rice/noodle for the whole day so we went to BonChon Chicken for our dinner!

We ordered the 8pcs wings in Soy Garlic since we can't take spicy that well and a bowl of rice for me with a drink each for us!  Tasted really like the ones from 4Fingers but at a lower price if I'm not wrong! It was $9.90 for 8pcs! Drinks and all were reasonably priced too! Our bill was $21.07 inclusive of all charges! Very affordable because we were both full after eating! :D Also thanks to Priscilla who paid more than she eat so I could pay a little lesser for my big appetite! HAHAHA! <3 Went to order a scoop each of gelare ice cream after the dinner when the air con was already really cold, worst decision of Priscilla! HAHAHAHA but really YOLO, finished our ice cream and went to our favourite place; THE ARCADE! Spent awhile there, relieving our stress; mostly mine on a machine where you throw the balls on the target and that machine vomits alot of tickets our which we didn't need but just kept it. HAHAHA! Went to take pictures as it has really been a long time since we did so!  Funny how we always have different hair color everytime we camwhore! We are totally the dye hair maniac! Looking tired as we was out the whole day and it was 10pm when we took pictures but it was still fun! I'm thankful we are still close and understands each other better! Lesser quarrels, more fun! Went to Blackball and Q but the signature was sold out! :( Accompanied Priscilla to Dhoby Ghaut cause she didn't want to take the MRT home so we went to DG to take different bus home at different bus stops, we are weird! The bus stop I was supposed to go, closed due to some sort of ritual that one of the road lanes were closed so I have to go to the next bus stop, suey! And I don't know why did I even follow those doing the ritual walking, so paiseh I want to dig a hole and die. Totally lost because I don't know where the next bus stop was as it was honestly pretty far! Luckily Priscilla was on the phone with me like a mother comforting her lost child. HAHAHAHA! But I'm really thankful for that! Reached home at 12. Totally drained and knocked out! It has been a long while since I met so many different friends in one day but I'm thankful I'm still close to some though we don't talk very often! Another fun day spent! :D |
