Last day in Taiwan and it will be a really short post since we head to the airport right after checking out of the hotel!

Woke up at 8plus in the morning before heading to bath and head out to get breakfast!

Went to Jiantan station first to return our Easycard so that we can get back NT80 (SGD3.45) refund for each card because NT20 (SGD0.85) goes to the handling fee for each card. Manged to get a total of NT350 (SGD15) back which includes the remaining balance of both cards, great because we could use the remaining money to pay for our breakfast! We only used about NT200+ for our traveling via the metro for the 5 days, very affordable I would say since their cabs aren't that cheap either.

Couldn't decide where to eat nearby our hotel and the Thai eatery which we wanted to try wasn't opened at 10am so ends up, we went to Family Mart for breakfast!

I bought one of the microwavable food which is the chicken cutlet rice in cream sauce which I can't remember the price but it was quite affordable for a big portion!


Not usually hungry when I wake up but this was damn good although it doesn't looks good!

Creamy sauce was rich and creamy but not 'gelat' at all! Chicken cutlet was slightly crispy even though it's microwaved, broccoli and mushroom was soft. Overall, it's really nice and makes a really filling breakfast!

Also got 2 Belgian waffles from the Family Mart at NT20 (SGD0.85) each! Very good and it was quite chewy too!

Mom didn't want anything from Family Mart thus, she ate the Yam bread which we bought from GAKUDEN the day before and it still tasted as good as it was when it was freshly made.

Ate our breakfast in the hotel room while watching the TV for the last time before we packed and checked out of the hotel at 12 noon. Had to carry all our stuffs down ourselves since they didn't have any bellboy, thankful for a nice guy who shared the lift with us to help us out.

The check out was done super fast like just returning the keys and we could go off, we don't even have to wait for them to check the room.


Took a cab right outside the hotel and reached Taoyuan International Airport in a 30mins ride. It was a NT1200 (SGD51.50) fixed rate to the airport.

The cab uncle was really nice and friendly, not overly chatty and told us alot about places in Taiwan that we could visit next time round if we ever go Taiwan again! Plus the ride was a really smooth one without jerking or braking, YAY!

Went to the foodcourt at the airport after checking in our baggages which only adds up to 30kg even though we bought a total of 50kg limit in case we buy too much stuffs! Guess the food and drinks wasn't that heavy!

All food for mom because I was still full from my really filling breakfast!


Was expecting prices at the airport to be much higher but all of the food were pretty affordable.

盐酥鸡 was only NT60 (SGD2.60). Not great but not too bad either, still missing the fried chicken cutlet from the night market!

Grass Jelly Honey drink at NT40 (SGD1.70) was good! Just the right sweetness and the grass jelly were super smooth and slightly chewy! I kept secretly sipping it after mom ask me to try it! HEHEHE!


Seafood Laksa at NT160 (SGD6.90), great amount of seafood but the soup base were pretty bad! Not spicy neither it was flavourful at all!

Walked around the airport till it was time for boarding, got our favourite seats which was the 2 seaters at the back of the aircraft! Those has slightly more leg room so it's our favourite seats!

Pretty sunset views from the plane! Happy to get a window seats because we was assigned seats in the middle row from SG - TW.


4hrs 10mins flight back to SG plus a little delay from waiting so we were back in SG at 8+ in the evening!

So glad to survived the 4hrs+ flight because we could fall asleep somewhere in the middle so it wasn't too tiring when we reached home!

Here's some reference on how much we spent!

It was a short getaway to one of the countries which I've been wanting to visit! I guess it's worth the money even though we didn't get much stuffs except for some beauty products and food but it was a great experience despite my uninvited period which spoils a little of my long awaited trip! All's well ends well!

Feeling a little broke now, after the 5D trip but excited to save up and visit more countries with my mom who said it was her first time to head to Taiwan in her 58years' life.

Time to work hard and earn more money for future trips! ^-^
