Went  to JB for half a day with Cherlyn on Tuesday to have a little getaway from SG! ^-^

Took pictures before leaving house because I'm really in love w my hair color which is after 6 washes! Looks really ashy without flash, wo xi huan! :D

Met up w Cherlyn at almost 12pm due to some last minute changes and took bus 950 to the custom from Woodlands Interchange!

It was a pretty good start for the day because we reached Malaysia really quick since we didn't had to wait for long for both the bus or at the custom area so we reached Malaysia at 12.34pm! Crazily fast with only 30minutes in traveling from Woodlands to City Square, Malaysia!

Went to change my money before we went to explore since I haven't been there after the major renovation and it's totally a mini food paradise there with lots of food choices! We finally decided to settle at Dontaku Japanese Restaurant (level 3) for lunch at 1plus!

Ambience was great with all the furnishings and color choice!

Ordered a Honey Ocha Lemon (RM4, SGD$1.60) to share which is a little bland for us!

We also ordered a few sides to share as we wasn't craving for any mains! Heheh, saving tummy space to eat more varieties of food is our style! >_<

Salmon Aburi Roll, RM14 (SGD$5.60)

I was totally shocked because I was expecting it to be around SGD$8 as usually it will be around $14 onward in Singapore! I was like 'OMG, RM14 ONLY LEH' to Cherlyn! HAHAHA, cheapo mode on. Sorry, I'm such a embarrassment! :X

Size were just nice and it is really light and fresh with the cucumber so we could eat alot and don't feel sick! I think it's quite good for its price, 7/10! ^-^

Volcanoes Roll, RM14 (SGD$5.60)

I didn't know what it was but the picture on the menu which was similar to what we got attracted me so I assumed it will be very cheesy but I wasn't sure what is the ingredients inside!

We just ordered it since the price was affordable!

It was really cheesy with quite abit of cheese and mayo, my favourite! WOOHOO! The filling was only cucumber which was a little disappointing as I really hoped it was salmon but it was good to have something crunchy and refreshing among the cheese and sushi rice!

The crispy thing which I don't know what it is, goes well altogether because I'm someone who will put the whole piece of volcanoes roll in my mouth! Hehehe! *munch munch*

Salmon Nigiri, RM8 (SGD$3.20)

Not exactly cheap for this as I could have the above at Nihon Mura for $3 and it's slightly smaller compared to usual Salmon Nigiri but for taste wise, it's pretty good! Salmon sashimi was fresh and ratio of it to the sushi rice was just right!

Total bill including the taxes and all was RM46.40 (Approx. SGD $18.60).

Service were good as the staffs were really attentive and they had free-flow of salad which you can help yourself. It wasn't crowded so it was a good lunch without too much noises!

Went to look for a dessert place as I was craving for some waffle w ice cream and we found Pearl Waffle with a sign that the staff is out for lunch! We had gone once before lunch and even when we went back after our lunch, it was still closed so we went to find elsewhere to have dessert!

The place we went was Baskin Robbins!

They didn't have soft waffle so we got a cup of 2 flavors and waffle biscuit at RM14.85 (SGD$5.94)

It was a little sweet with the chocolate sauce but the strawberry ice cream which I chose was good! Really very berry with small bits in it but I really would prefer soft kind of waffle because eating the waffle biscuit was really langbei! It keeps breaking into small bits and drop on the table but we did clean up after we eat! Hehehe, GOOD HABIT from the 2C!

Went to the arcade for our favourite basketball game and our highest was still 328! U_U Can't wait to go back already because it's so crazily cheap, RM1 (SGD $0.40) per game. Shuang dao si!!!

Spent quite some time in the arcade that Cyn-choding don't want to leave but we had to!! HAHAHA!

Popular after that to walk walk see see and ended up in Hui Lau Shan (許留山) which was in level 3 for more desserts! Totally a foodie day!

許留山 was really raved greatly online so I was really excited as mango is one of my favourite fruits after all the berries! We were lucky to be there when it wasn't crowded as I would hate to queue! :x

We ordered quite a few mango desserts to try as we was too full for a main dish!

We ordered the above which is one of the signature item, Mango Chewy ball!

The mango wasn't sweet and was quite on the sour side, maybe just ours that was really sour so it wasn't enjoyable for me as I would prefer my dessert to be a little sweet!

Slightly overrated in my opinion! Mango cubes were alright, not too sour and has a small tinge of sweetness, just the mango 'sauce' or 'soup' or whatever you call it is a little too sour. The mango ice cream taste a little like sorbet instead of ice cream as it is not really creamy!

Price were alright since it was RM13.90 (SGD $5.56) and comes with a small side of your choice and we picked the Mango Mochi shown below as Cherlyn is a mochi-fan!

I think the outer 'mochi' skin tasted more like ondeh-ondeh with a big piece of mango in it so other than a little juice from the mango slice in it, it was a little dry! Thus, I had a bite and then, a spoonful of the mango dessert above and it goes surprisingly well! :D #FoodAdventurer

We also ordered a set (Mango Carnival as printed on receipt, Hahah so cute) whereby you can choose 3 different mango desserts at RM12.90 (SGD $5.16). Very good if you wanna give each different kind a try! We got the Mini Mango Crisp, Mango Pancake and Mango Pudding!

The presentation is really pretty and not too much of yellow from the mango as they add in some chocolate sauce!

The Mango Crispy tasted like vanilla ice cream cubes w super small bits of mango and crisp, quite shiok! Mango pancake was not bad as the whipped cream and mango slices in it is proportional so it's quite good! Mango pudding were not bad as well, Cherlyn's #1 out of all!

I personally think it's overall okay as we spent around RM32 (SGD$12.80) including a bottle of mineral water and all the other charges. Really affordable since the presentation were all really pretty and service were quite good as well! :) Food wise, it's quite okay! Worth a try but don't expect too much because it doesn't makes you go 'OMG OMG SO YUMMY!'

Walked around and ended up at the arcade again for their neoprint! OMG, super long since I last went to take neoprint! I think it's been 2 years or longer!

It was RM12 (SGD$4.80)! Super cheap because SG is already charging at $13 already!!

Took some pictures in the machine because they had crazy good lighting! Wo xi huan! ^^

Was so fascinated with the new kind of neoprint machine because they can add makeup, contact lens etc! Too long since I last used a neoprint machine so I'm easily amazed by their decorations and all!

Took a cab to Taman Sri Tebrau Hawker Centre aftermath but the uncle drove us to 2 different places where we couldn't find stingray at all! -____-

Took a 2nd cab and reached our destination around 6 after a little jam for our early dinner!

Couldn't remember the exact stall whereby I went a year+ ago w Shirley so we just went to a random seafood stall after their super hardcore selling! STRESSED!

Also did super fast ordering after being pressured by the stall owner, hais!

Food was served fast as there weren't much people but I would really prefer that we could have some time to look through the menu! Anyway, here's what we ordered!

Cereal Prawns, RM30 (SGD$12) & Ginger (姜葱) Chicken, RM10 (SGD $4)

Price for the prawn is by weight and it's 6 big prawns for RM30 which comes up to about $2 each. Taste wise, quite average because I've tried better cereal prawns but it's still considered affordable!

Serving of Kung Bao Chicken is quite generous and the meat is really tender and sauce wise, is really flavourful so it was a not bad dish for only $4!

Sambal Stingray, RM20 (SGD $8)

This stall goes also by weight and the above cost $8 which I finds it really affordable as the meat is thick and fresh plus it is much bigger in portion, around the medium-large stingray in SG!

Not as spicy as the usual 'Sambal Stingray' but it was good enough for me since I couldn't take spiciness well! Hehe, totally enjoyed it because it comes with my favourite Chinchalok! :D

Cabbed back to City Square Mall and Cherlyn accompanied me to take away some food to bring home!

JCO for sure because 1/2 dozen was only RM15.20 (SGD $6.08) after their taxes! Around $1 each and I got my favourite flavours! YAY!

Also got a Durian Mousse cake and a box of Durian Crepe from the stall next to 許留山! Mom said the mousse cake was very mediocre, totally not worth for RM8.50 (SGD $3.40).

I think the Durian Crepe was pretty decent at 6 pcs for RM15 (SGD $6) but I didn't take a picture of it! >_<

Got some breads from the bakery called Lavender if I'm not wrong and their breads are really good, at around SGD $1 each! Can't wait to go back and get more, they have very yummy tuna bread which unfortunately, I don't have the pictures too!

Bus-ed back to Woodlands after all my food shopping and was lucky we didn't had to wait for the bus for too long and even got seats on the bus! YAY! :D

It was a great day with good food, yummy desserts, arcade fun and awesome companion! :D
