[21 AUG 2015]
Woke up at around 10am because it's the last day that we got to walk around because we are going back to SG the next day!

Missed the hotel breakfast as usual so we just bathed and prepared before we head to the bank which we had to walk 15minutes to change money! Took the MRT to Tamsui Station after that!

Walked over to 淡水老街 (Tamsui Old Street) at about 1pm for our brunch first before we start to get some souvenirs to bring back to SG!

Decided to eat at a eatery called 曽记 and while waiting, some wefies time!

Food was served after we ordered and paid for it at the counter after a prolly 5 minutes wait!

We got the 古早面, Ah Gei and some odens! The Gu Zao Mian was really nice, totally to Zav's liking; Garlic and Onion taste solid but overall taste was really good! Oden was average, nothing special, just sauce on top of it! One of Tamsui's specialty; Ah Gei was not bad since I love dong fen!

Also got their meatball which took longer to be served!

It has this soonkueh texture on the outside with lots of meat filling and served with 2 kind of sauces! Tasted not bad!!

Went to walk around to digest a little plus there's really alot to shop around, mostly souvenirs shop though or games shop which we loveeeeee!

It was a really sunny day but the pictures turns out really bright and clear, love it!

Walked past a few games shop, either the arcade or those machine where you can catch dolls. Couldn't resist the temptations and we went to one of the shops to play!

Not sure what kind of luck but we managed to win a fair size Crayon Shin Chan which Zav got it and I got a Iron Man Figurine which was really nice but I left it at Zav's house!

So damn happy that I nearly fainted HAHAHA! Took a few tries but still managed to get them as each play was only NT10 (SGD0.45)

Decided to head to a cream puff shop at around 3pm because it looks damn good and I wanted to try it!

Some wefies after we placed our orders and paid for it at the counter!

Zav with his newly won Crayon Shin Chan! Happyboy90!

And our snacks came!

Got the Mango Smoothie, Strawberry Ice Cream Puff and Seasonal Puff which was Mango this time! The crust of the puff were really good, one of the best puff ever! So buttery and fragrant but filling wise, I prefer Beardpapa's filling! Mango Smoothie was not bad!

Can't remember how much was it in total but I think it was less than NT300!

Went out of the shop after we were done and we took some wefies with the scenery with the help of our selfie stick!

Need our shades because it's too sunny for real!

Went crazy shopping after that and we bought alot of food stuffs and some small gift for close friends. Kena judged after we carry like 4 to 5 bags of stuffs each!

Always wanted to try the tall ice cream so we went to buy one with Strawberry and Yam flavour, NT30 for the big one!

Color looks really pretty but seriously it's the worst ice cream ever! Damn watery and almost tasteless, just like eating ice so we threw it after a few mouths! :(

Decided to head back at around 5pm because we spent alot at Tamsui + our hands were really full with loads of stuffs + we wanna avoid the peak hour as much as possible!

Saw a rainbow while walking to the station so we put down our stuffs just to take picture of it!

Managed to reach our hotel room at around 6pm where we could finally put down all the stuffs and here's the stuffs we bought from Tamsui! Spent probably almost 300SGD there, in just 4 hrs! Super bai jia ah!

Pineapple Tarts, Tie Dan, Yu Su, Almond Tea powder, Crispy Dried Meat, Jellies etc, we bought them all! Also got some keychains etc as well!

Decided to pack our luggages because I hate to pack really last minute. Barely put them all into our luggage because some were really bulky!

Head out for dinner at around 9pm and again, Shilin Night Market because it's just beside our hotel! Damn shiok since we are lazy to travel too far! HEHE! >_<

Went to the basement as usual because there's alot food choices with seats available! Some stalls were closing but we still managed to get food!

Lu Rou Fan, HEHE! NT30 for it! Finally tasted the 'Coffin' (棺材板), damn good! Super crispy on the outside and not oily at all! Didn't pick the filling, we just got their signature which do consist of tuna, corn, mushroom etc! Seriously good, I miss it already! The one i previously tried in SG seriously sucks.

Corn soup and Filet Mignon (菲力牛排) was a set that was priced at NT290 (SGD13). The steak was good with pasta underneath, and egg on a really hot pan! Very filling as well!

Walked around after that since we was full and we bought a cup of 以利泡泡冰 in Lovers' fruit flavour! Damn good, better than the outlet in SG! Everything is nice oversea, hahaha!

Walked around the night market while eating this cup of goodness when it was actually drizzling!

Managed to buy some snacks from the street before we head back to our hotel to bath!

And that's about our Day 4! ^_^

[19 Aug 2015]
Supposed to wake up at 7am to head to Leofoo Village but was so tired that I didn't want to wake up so we went back to sleep and woke up at 10am or so. Missed the hotel breakfast so we went to prepare and head out with a change of plan to head to XMD instead!

Took the MRT to Ximen Station (Exit 6) because we are heading to Ximending which the B have been wanting to visit.

Decided to have our brunch first before we shop around because we didn't have anything to eat before we reached XMD.

Randomly decided to have our brunch at a Ramen store called 佐野拉面 at around 12.30pm!

Prices are really affordable as stated and no extra charges as well!

Decided on what we want before we head to the cashier to make payment and collect our drinks then wait for our food to be served!

Here's the drinks we got!

Minute Maid's Apple and Orange Juice in glass bottle at only NT20 (SGD0.92) each!

Food were served pretty fast, 5-10minutes after we placed and paid for our orders!

Zav had the Shoyu Ramen w Cha Shu at NT110 (SGD5.05) while I had the Extra Thick Tonk otsu Ramen w Pork Cutlet at NT120 (SGD5.50). Totally loving my soup base, thick yet don't get sick of drinking it! Pork Cutlet was fine and ramen were pretty good, finished the whole bowl! YUMZ!

Fried Prawn Roll at NT50 (SGD2.30), very crispy yet not too oily, tasted very good as well! Zav loves it! Fried Tofu was at NT30 (SGD1.38), well fried without being oily, one of the better fried tofu around! Fried Pork Cutlet at NT50 (SGD2.30), really crispy and goes well with the sauce provided! Overall, it's a damn satisfying meal with it being so affordable yet so yummy! 2 happy tummies!

Total bill for the whole meal with 2 Ramens, 3 side dishes and 2 drinks was just NT400 (SGD18.34)!!!

Went to walk around Ximending after our meal because we was so damn full!

Managed to find our favourite 'Stage' store after spending around NT2000 (SGD91.70) at one of the random clothing stores but we scored like 9 pieces of clothing from there.

Bought our first item each from Stage which was a T-Shirt each and although I'm a kiam siap gui, I totally love the T-Shirt I picked out and it was the last piece at NT1300 (SGD59.60)!

Zav got his first T-shirt from Stage at NT1500 (SGD68.78) and we were so elated from it! :D

Decided to get some street food after some shopping and we sat at some random place to eat!

Got a box of Red Bean Muah Chee at NT50 (SGD2.30) and the Ice Cream Roll with Shaved Peanut which I tried on previous trip but hated it! It was NT40 (SGD14.23) for a roll and this was so different, damn damn good!! Requested for it without the 香菜 because both of us don't eat that.

Decided to head back to our hotel after that since we was carrying quite some bags of stuffs that we bought!

Went back to put down our stuffs and headed out straight because they was making-up our room!

Managed to get on the free shuttle bus to Miramar Entertainment Park just at Jiantan station after 10minutes of wait, YAY!

Bus ride was approximately 15-20minutes without heavy traffic and we took some wefies and videos via B612 on the short bus ride, well entertained that my phone died when we reached!

It was so hot and sunny when we reached at almost 5pm!

Can't even open my eyes when taking the below photo!

It was still very sunny at 5pm so we decided to walk around the mall till probably evening then we take the ferries wheel!

Nothing much to buy so we spent some time at the arcade before we went to get tickets for the ferries wheel at around 6pm! It was NT150 (SGD6.88) for each pax per ride, quite affordable I would say!

Didn't had to queue for long to board since everyone wanted the transparent one while we are fine with the colored ones.

Phone died after taking just 1 photo of the scenery so it's camera time!

More pictures of the scenery since we are so high up! Mostly taken by Zav because I felt scared of the height when I look down below. HAHAHA weak.

And of course, wefies time because it's a approximately 15-20minutes ride! Also the first time where we took the ferries wheel together. YAY!

And more!

Went to look for the bus stop for the shuttle bus back to Jiantan station and the queue was so insane so we had to wait for another 20minutes for another bus but it's okay because we managed to get seats on the 2nd bus!

Went straight to Shilin Night Market for our dinner because we were hungry!

Went to 2 different stores at the basement of Shilin Night Market to have 2 different stores' Braised Pork Rice and Fried Oyster! So much Lu Rou Fan in the night market but everyone's was different! So damn full after eating all of the above but we still went for dessert at 阿忠冰店!

We got my favourite which was Mango, Strawberry and Kiwi Shaved Ice! Still tasted as good as before and only half of the bingsoo's price in SG! 150NT (SGD6.90) for such a big portion!

Walked a little at the night market before we head back to the hotel with some food which we dabao for us to eat after bathing!

Back to the hotel room to bathe and pack our new buys into our luggage at 11pm! Pretty satisfied with our habit of packing a little everyday we are back to the hotel room so we don't have to ganchiong about packing on the last day.

Here's our loots for the day!

6 T-shirts for me and 5 for Zav! Also new pouch for Zav which is in our favourite colors, Blue and Pink! Black shoes for my work at NT590 (SGD27.05), Thor Keychain for Zav at NT150 (SGD 6.88), some new makeup/skincare for me and new couple ear studs!

Supper was...

Fried Rice Ball, 1 with Lobster Salad and 1 with Honey Mustard! Both were damn shiok!! 玉米烧 which is like very soft rolled omelette with super generous Mentaiko, Cheese and Corn! Damn yummy and the Mentaiko was major shiok! It was only NT65! Also got the Fried Chicken Cutlet with oozing cheese at NT85! All of the above were really good and affordable! I miss Taiwan already!!

And that's how our 2nd day in Taiwan went!

Reached Taoyuan International Airport at 5.10am, 10-15mins before schedule. YAY! Didn't really get to sleep on the flight because not sure why the seats felt smaller this time round, like not much leg room!

Cleared custom before 5.50am and the poor b was still having diarrhea. Went to get tickets from the bus counter to head to Taipei Main Station and we managed to get the 6am one so we didn't have to wait for too long. The bus was slightly late as well and we only got on the bus at 6.10am and it's a approximately 50minutes ride to Taipei Main Station with the B who managed to nap a little on the bus ride.

Was pretty hungry so we just bought 2 sausages, 2 onigiris and a bottle of lemon tea to share from their convenience store. Lucky we brought our own bags because they don't provide plastic bags like local 7-11. Total was only around SGD5 or so, pretty affordable!

Went to top up our Easy-Cards at the station after we are done eating since we got it from the giftpacks at the airport and we don't have to buy a new card. Yay! There was even NT50 loaded in each card!

Took the metro to Jiantan Station, 5 stops away from Taipei Main Station and it was just a 10-15minutes journey. Same station as when I went to Taipei with mom previously, loves Shilin Night Market so we purposely book a hotel near it.

Managed to find our way to our hotel, Les Suites Grandee Hotel which is a 5-10minutes walk from Jiantan Station with Zav who still drag our luggage although he was pretty unwell!

Les Grandee Hotel
No. 102, Wenlin Rd, Shilin District, Taipei City, Taiwan 111
+886 2 2880 5599

Checked in and funny thing is the hotel doesn't collect the payment, we pay only when we checked out so we just register with a credit card as guarantee will do.

We booked 5nights although we will be staying till Saturday only because we don't have the intention to loiter around till usual 3pm then we could check in. It was NT21,250 which is around SGD974 because the rates isn't that good this time round. May be slightly expensive but we are really the people who look for comfort and convenience!

Our room was on level 2 but really worth the money of $194.80 per night paid!

Here's the room!

Very shiok King Sized bed with ample of space to walk around! 2 different types of sofa seats where we always dabao food and have our meal there! Study table which we don't really use, just for us to put my makeup or Zav's hair products.

Wardrobe, Mini Fridge inside the cabinet, TV which we always turned it on when we are back in the hotel because their news are really interesting.

Even have big bathtub!

Spacious toilet with really wide basin space which I love because we could put lots of stuffs like skincare or our contact lens etc. And hair dryer as well!

And mirror wefie with the big wardrobe mirror even though we was so sleepy!

Decided to head down for the complimentary breakfast before we nap because we are excited to see what are the spread. Maybe just me because Zav was still having a bad tummyache.

Not alot of variety but we still managed to get some food!

Made Zav drink only hot English Tea without any sugar or milk for his diarrhea while I had the Cranberry Juice which was quite nice!

Porridge with half salted egg, Chicken Floss and Fritters to share! Also the scramble eggs and 2 different kind of breads which were quite soft, nuggets and bacons to share as well! And that's our breakfast!

And sickboy90!

Went back to our room to share and nap from around 9am till around 12pm.

Changed and decided to head out in order not to waste time in Taiwan!

Took the MRT back to Taipei Main Station because I wanna visit my favourite store, Kuang Nan Wholesale Store.

Before that, we went for lunch at 1pm and randomly went to a mall beside Kuang Nan and settled our lunch at Chitaka, one of the restaurants specialized in Japan Curry which we both love!

Took some time to order because there was a menu whereby we could pick the curry we want and choose the ingredients we want etc!

Even saw Taiwan's Huici in the shop, sitting a few tables behind us. Purposely sat back-face her because I knew I would laugh like mad if I sat at Zav's seat, her actions and the way she talk. HAHAHA!

Ordered and the drinks were served first!

My Ice Tea which I wished it was slightly sweeter and Zav's Calpis which was NT30 (SGD1.38) each.

While waiting for our food to come..

Food arrived around 15minutes after we ordered while we kept ourselves entertained with Hui Ci sitting somewhere behind us doing and saying really funny shits. I need to be her BFF. HAHAHA.

This is mine! Picked the European Curry with Pork Cutlet (NT80), Cheese (NT30) and Croquette(NT40)! All Curry w rice is NT99! We added on Chawanmushi and a dessert at NT80 each!

Tasted pretty good but still, Coco Ichibanya is my ultimate favourite! The Croquette was really good though, yumz! Curry wise, I prefer Zav's one!

Zav's Garlic Curry with Pork Cutlet (NT80) and German Sausage (NT40)! Loves his version of curry more, closer to the taste of Coco's Curry!

Had a hard time finishing our food because Hui Ci kept raving about her 王識賢, her pronunciation of 1, 2, 3 and the way she behave is just funny. Even the waiter mega facepalm, fhl!

Dessert came after we were done with our meal.

I had the Mango Passionfruit Mousse while Zav had the Caramel Pudding, both were really nice! Wish I did dabao more of them!

Total bill inclusive of the charges were NT743 (SGD 34) for all of the above! Really worth it because the portion were huge!

Went to Kuang Nan Wholesale Store after that to digest our food while we shop!

Kuang Nan Wholesale Store (光南大批發)
No. 40, Xuchang St, Zhongzheng District Taipei City (台北市許昌街40號)
10:00 - 22:30

Directions:
Taipei Main Station (Exit at Z4, which is the exit for Shin Kong Mitsukoshi). Walk towards the back of the building and you will see the wholesale store!

Spent almost NT2000 (SGD 91.70) in less than 1 hr of shopping, some of the stuffs we bought!

Pretzel which I really loves and there's a new Salted Caramel flavour! Damn good, buy! NT49 (SGD2.24) per pack only!

Some random makeup which I think the glitter thingy at NT79 was really good! Most of the stuffs bought at the store was for me, some makeup for mom and only hairspray, pen and pretzels are for Zav! HAHA, bad life bf!

It makes up a bag of stuffs only so we decided to head to Wu Fen Pu for more shopping instead of heading back to our hotel to put down the stuffs first!

We took the metro till Hou Shan Pi Station (後山埤). Exit 1, walk straight along Zhongpo North Road to the intersection of Zhongpo North Road and Yongji Road. Wufenpu starts on the left. It's the largest clothing market in Taipei and the area is nearby both the TRA Songshan Station and Taipei Metro Houshanpi Station! Just like how I went with mum previously!

But same shit happens, rains damn heavily when we exit from the MRT! FOL!

Zav brought umbrella and we tried to shop a little at Wu Fen Pu but the rain just kept getting heavier and shows no sign of stopping so we gave up the plan of heading to Rao He Night market after that and just ended our shopping trip early!

Only managed to get probably 3 tees each and the cheapest one was NT100 while the most expensive one was NT880 but we managed to get 2 of it at NT1320 (SGD60.50). Approximately 30bucks each and it's one of the most expensive tee that I have gotten for myself. Super guilty after that!

Head back to the MRT after getting 2 random slippers because both our shoes were wet already, sigh.

Passed by Shilin Night Market while walking back to our hotel from Jiantan Station, we got some small food to bring back to our room since the rain wasn't that heavy yet!

Bought another slipper for Zav because the one we got at Wufenpu was too small but it was for emergency!

Bathed before we ate the food we bought from the night market earlier on.

Some BBQ Pork with Spring Onions, meh! A Stick of 七里香 which was quite nice, at NT20 only! Some 卤味 which I didn't enjoyed because it's cold and the person selling was so unfriendly and rude, don't like! Donuts which were quite nice, at NT15 each!

Rested awhile at our room before we head to Shilin Night Market to walk around and we head to the shop where I wanna intro Zav about the Salad Fish Roe!

宏冠土魠魚羹 士林分店
電話:02-2880-1160
地址:台北市士林區大南路84號

Lu Rou Fan, NT25 (SGD1.15), still tasted damn good as usual! And YES, got Zav addicted to Lu Rou Fan as well. HEHE! Salad Fish Roe, NT60 (SGD2.75). Slightly disappointing because it was way better previously! Now it's slightly more dry but still not too bad!

Also got the meat roll at NT50 (SGD2.30) to try! Not bad but I didn't really like the taste of it! Abit heavy on the palate!

Still a pretty enjoyable dinner!

Dessert after that was Churro with Soft Serve which I didn't see it on the previous trip! It's NT75 (SGD3.44) if I didn't remember wrongly!

Churro was not bad, very light and crispy but the soft serve was very watery! Would be better if it's creamier but still not bad a try! Yumz!

Went to walk around and crazily bought 7 boxes of Mango Pudding because we had some miscommunication between us and randomly bought 7 boxes for NT500 (SGD22.90)!

Super heavy as well, we thought it wouldn't be! Thus, we have a slight problem of bringing it back to SG.

Decided to pack the 7 boxes into 2 and luckily, it works so not so bad!

Walked around Shilin Night Market and played the street games of shooting balloon etc! NT100 per game and Zav managed to win us a Pink Bunny! Didn't take a picture of it but left it in his room because my house is already damn messy!

Went back to our hotel room probably around 11pm! Bathed and head to bed at around 1am plus!

That marks our day 1 in Taiwan! ^_^
